Smashbox

I went to ulta today in search for primer. I had previously tried a sample of smashbox's photo finish primer, which is unique smooth, leaves my skin soft and not to mention I use less foundation, especially on the dark circles under my eyes. Thank you genetics and damn you sweet sweet nectar that is coffee.

Anyway, I found some trial kits that not only had that same primer in it but other products as well. Which I love test samples. No point in spending a bunch of money on experiments that just totally make your skin go out of whack.

Everyone has their own ph levels due to what you've been eating the last 30 or so days.

I really liked this kit! I'm not sure about the lid treatment but the under eye primer seemed to work a little better than just foundation and photo finish primer alone.

More updates to come! Subscribe if you like. In the next couple days I'll be making a video on how to peek-a-boo highlight color hair.

Hair masks

4 Easy DIY Hair Masks

Want soft, healthy hair without blowing your cash? These simple hair treatments can be made right in your kitchen.

Eggs are full of protein and nutrients for your hair. Just work two egg yolks into your hair in the shower and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water to make sure you don't end up with scrambled eggs in you hair.

BONUS TIP: You can use the whites of the eggs as a face mask!
Avocados are nature's lotion, filled with skin-loving emollients. While slathering your hair with guacamole might not seem appealing, it'll revitalize your scalp and hair unlike any commercial hair treatment. Apply one mashed avocado to damp hair and let it sit for up to 30 minutes. Rinse out, use a gentle shampoo, and say hello to healthy hair!

BONUS TIP: You can also used mashed avocado as a body lotion. Be sure to rinse off, unless you're going for the whole green thing.
Olive oil is my absolute favorite natural beauty product. One of its many wonders is its ability to restore dry, brittle hair. Just apply olive oil to damp hair from mid-shaft to ends. Sweep into a topknot bun, go about your day, and rinse with shampoo an hour later. Your hair will be sleek and smooth and chemical-free!

BONUS TIP: I use olive oil to wash my face every morning and night. It takes the place of my cleanser and my moisturizer and leaves my skin soft and clear.

While it may not smell too pretty, apple cider vinegar is great for adding shine to your hair without weighing it down. After shampooing, rinse hair with a cup of apple cider vinegar. Finish with cold water to wash away the acidic aroma.

BONUS TIP: Applying apple cider vinegar to your face (watch out for eyes!) can fade dark spots and acne scars over time.

Frizzy Hair

We all know that we search through countless products and spend a lot of money looking for the cure.

Sometimes all Natural is the best way..

I was looking online to find some reciepes for things you can find in your kitchen to whip up a deep conditioning type serium to help the ends of my hair.

I found this neat recipe although since my shoulder length hair is Super Thick I had to double up this concoction;

Olive Oil and Egg

Mix 1/4 cup Olive Oil with one raw egg Whip together with Fork or whisk and apply it to the hair Over a sink... If your hair is really thick Use Two eggs and 1/2 cup olive oil.

This Is going to be messy.

Leave it on for 30 - 45 minutes (a plastic shower cap works really well with keeping it all together and not all drippy)

Rinse with Cold Water (or else you'll have scrambled eggs in your hair, MMMM tasty)

Shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo and condition the hair as usual (I shampooed and then towel dried some of the water out and then conditioned and re-covered with a clean shower cap for another 20 min).

The olive oil acts as an emollient, helping to preserve moisture in your hair, and the egg contains L-cysteine, a natural amino acid that helps with building cells and repairing tissue.

BE WARE OF Sulfates and Parabens! A posting on Whats the BIG DEAL coming soon. :) Happy hair Happy Life. :)
