Moisturizing mist

I recently have been trying out new forms of travel size beauty products. With airlines having the 1quart bag rule it kinda dampens things for someone who uses a lot of creams and moisturizers for hair and skin.

I bought a very nice set at Walmart of travel sized bottles. A fine spritzer, a body wash container and of course shampoo and conditioner. Looking at all my products, I'm going to have to downsize or try other products in solid form.

Hmm

Liquids

Shampoo & Conditioner
Body lotion
My facial Vitamin C lotion
Liquid primer
Liquid foundation
Neosporin
Acne Treatment
Hair deep conditioning moisturizer
Moisturizing hair oil
Mascara
Lip gloss
Toothpaste
Mouthwash
Body wash
Non Aluminum Roll on liquidDeodorant
Perfume

So how can I cut down on these liquids?

I switched to Doves bar soap for body wash, Toms Solid Deoderant, I am brining my bar of sulfur soap for acne and oily spots.

I looked online for other ideas.

Lush makes a very nice looking Solid Shampoo and Solid Conditioner, however a bit pricey and they don't have sample sizes for travel.

My biggest issue is my many lotions. My body lotion is too heavy for my face but not at all greasy on my hands. I use Andalou's brand body lotion. And I use Avalon Organics Vitamin C Vitality Facial Lotion.

So reading an article a lady who had an overseas flight used a moisturizing mist to keep her face fresh and moisturized through the 18 hours on a dry stale airplane.

Moisturizing mist? I don't even want to know how much. So an experiment with the extra spritz bottle. It's quite small, about 2oz. I squirt a few globs of my body lotion in, two drops of vitamin e oil and fill with warm water. Shake really well and spritz my face enough to be soaked but not dripping.

Let it absorb and then the overnight test. Aside the fact my vitamin C lotion helps with inflation or redness of the skin, this trick definitely works. Even if I've already put all my make up on and my face feels dry, I spritz a fine mist on my face and it absorbs through without messing it all up.

As far as all my other items I'm converting to solids to avoid a checked bag fee and still have all my beauty products, I'm still researching. Another blog soon to follow. Which btw I still haven't done a vid on my peekaboo hair yet. Eventually!! ^_^
